We've been waiting for a very long time. It feels longer than it actually is, because although we have food, water and protection from harm, we yearn for a sense of belonging to someone of our own. Volunteers do very well caring for us & giving us as much affection as they can, but it's not the same as your very own home, knowing that one person, or one family thinks the world of you. Someone you can curl up with in the evenings and watch a funny TV show with, or listen to music with, or sit on the porch on sunny days and listen to the birds. We all need that. We just don't shine in this evironment but that doesn't mean we won't in our own homes. Please, be our hero and take one of us home today.
